Winston's Wish - 'Helpline For a Day'

Credit Hire industry backs Winston’s Wish UK charity for bereaved children

Winston’s Wish, the UK’s childhood bereavement charity, is the new partner charity of the Credit Hire Organisation (CHO) the trade association for the UK”s credit hire industry.

CHO chair Kirsty McKno announced the new partnership at the CHO’s annual conference, and in its first activity with Winston’s Wish, the CHO is sponsoring the charity’s ‘Helpline For a Day,’ on 5 December, the first of a number of initiatives where CHO members will help raise money for the charity.

The Freephone National Helpline provides practical advice and guidance to parents and professionals seeking advice on how to support bereaved children, reaching on average, 49 UK children per day and providing them and their families tools to help during the Christmas period.

Kirsty said: “Sadly, this year thousands of children will face their first Christmas without mum or dad. Our members want to help these brave children cope with Christmas and start the process of facing the future with confidence.”

Malaney Varaljay-Boyce, for Winston’s Wish said:  “We are so thankful for the CHO’s support for Winston’s Wish.  They are a wonderfully passionate group of people that stand behind our mission and support the work we do.”

“By sponsoring our Helpline, they are enabling us to continue to provide guidance to parents and professionals seeking advice on how to help bereaved children.”

“We couldn’t be more appreciative and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come. Thank you, CHO for helping us give hope to grieving children.”
