CHO to Meet MoJ

We have arranged to meet the MoJ Civil Justice team on the afternoon of 24 June. The Civil Justice team is responsible for the the implementation of the Civil Liability Act (including the new OIC portal) and holds the brief for credit hire.

The CHO will be represented by Lucy Woods, chair of the CHO strategic board, and Peter Gomes, interim CEO. We will be putting together an agenda and would welcome any suggestions from members with regard to issues that you would like us to raise with the MoJ.

We will include in discussions the impact of the OIC portal to date, so if members have any evidence of the impact (positive or negative) that the OIC has on your business, do please let us know. We will also seek an indication from officials of the likely roadmap (if any) for Part II of the Whiplash Consultation, which includes the consultation on credit hire.

We look forward to engaging with officials on your behalf and we will of course report back on the outcome.
