Anthony Hughes Appointed CHO CEO
30 Jun
As you may be aware, our interim CEO Peter Gomes is stepping down from the CHO at the end of June. Peter has been in the role since 2019 and has been a calm and steadying hand during tumultuous times for our industry, as we grapple with Covid, and now, the challenges presented by the impact of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis on the motor claims supply chain.
On behalf of our industry, I want to thank Peter for his exceptional service during these unprecedented times, for his patience, good humour and hard work on behalf of our members. Although he is retiring from the CHO, he is by no means settling down; on the contrary he is due to travel to Australia and other far flung parts of the world.
I’m sure many members will want to thank Peter personally, but in the meantime, we wish Peter the very best of luck for the future.
Anthony Hughes will be taking on Peter’s role as CEO, starting on the 1 August. Anthony is a highly experienced executive, having fulfilled a number of senior roles in the claims industry. He is currently non-executive director at Financial & Legal Ltd, part of the Drive Further Collective, as well as running his own consultancy, Jackson Hughes. I’m sure you will join me in welcoming Anthony to the CHO, and we look forward to working with him to represent the interests of our industry and our members.
