Autonomous Expert to Speak at CHO Conference

Today marks six weeks until the CHO are able to welcome back members and associated delegates to the annual conference, our first in-person event for almost two years.

This year the conference will be held at the world-renowned Belfry Hotel (B76 9PR), a venue which has played host to golf’s Ryder Cup no less than four times.

Over the course of the next six weeks we will be announcing a line-up of speakers who will talk about ‘future’ including future technologies in motor and claims.

As we look ahead to the future, autonomous vehicles are fast becoming a reality, particularly in the commercial and specialist vehicle areas and we are delighted to welcome autonomous drive expert Professor David Keene to this year’s conference. David is the CEO of RDM Group, the UK’s most advanced manufacturer of autonomous vehicles.

Whilst a future thought for many, David will tell attendees about the trials which are already taking place in the UK in controlled environments, such as airports and private campuses, and how this could become more of a common sight on public roads in the coming years.

David will also give an overview of the technology involved and how this may transfer from the buses and ‘pods’ currently used and into everyday cars for the general public.

Tickets to attend the conference, including the evening networking dinner and entertainment, are available here. Accommodation is also available to book directly through the CHO at a subsidised rate and can be booked alongside your tickets.

The conference is attended by senior management and decision makers from the credit hire industry and associated businesses. If you are interested, or you are know of a business who may be interested, in exhibiting at the event please contact matt.rowland@thecho.co.uk to discover the options available.
