DCI Tom Hill Appointed Head of IFED

DCI Tom Hill has been appointed the new head of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED). IFED is part of the City of London Police, and is funded by the insurance industry to combat fraud, including motor fraud

The CHO chair, Lucy Woods, has written to DCI Hill to offer her congratulations on behalf of the members, and has requested a meeting to discuss how the CHO and IFED can work more closely together to strengthen the fight against fraud. In particular to float the opportunity for more sharing of data on potential fraudsters, which has been a difficult nut to crack in the past.
