Operation Kijang Debrief at CHO Conference

October’s CHO Conference will see a debrief from National Crime Agency (NCA) Officer Martin Brown on a national anti-fraud operation, involving credit hire companies.

Operation Kijang, with the support of CHCs, successfully identified and convicted members of an Organised Crime Group (OCG) who fraudulently obtained over 100 cars at a value well in excess of £1 million. The operation resulted in a number of custodial sentences for those who participated in the sophisticated scheme. The debrief will identify key points from the operation which CHCs and related companies can use to prevent a repeat of fraudulent activity on a similar scale.

The NCA join the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) on October’s agenda, which represents authoritative external voices alongside opinions and insights from within the credit hire industry. The CHO Conference is the flagship event in the credit hire calendar and sees leading figures and decision makers from across the credit hire industry in one room as we discuss the most prevalent topics in motor claims right now.
