Towergate Insurance Brokers Joins The CHO

We are pleased to welcome Towergate Insurance Brokers as a CHO associate member

The CHO is the trade body for companies that provide customers with mobility following an accident and while their own vehicle is off the road.

Anthony Hughes, Chair and CEO of the CHO, said: “It’s great to welcome Towergate to the CHO, their presence will be an important step in helping the wider insurance industry to understand how credit hire works, and making sure our members can access cover that is suitable for them.”

Matthew Warden from Towergate added; “We are planning to address a long term issue – of insurers not understanding credit hire fleets, with the result that many credit hire companies (CHCs) utilise policies which don’t accurately reflect their need and/or are overpaying on a perceived risk which isn’t accurate.

To combat this, we have built a small panel of insurers to bring products to market which are designed specifically for credit hire companies, and we aim to offer competitive premiums for CHO members.

Towergate has expanded the scope for drivers and vehicles CHCs can insure, and we believe our relationship with the CHO will assist their members in getting appropriate insurance cover for their fleets.”

Anthony concluded; “We look forward to working closely with the UK’s leading mobility providers via a fruitful relationship with the CHO, I’m confident it will be a worthwhile partnership for our members.

Towergate is rebranding to Everywhen later in 2025. Whilst the name is changing, the people behind it will not. The new name cements their commitment to clients, to be there “always” and “at all times” (the literal dictionary definition of Everywhen).
